On October 6, 2016 the Portland Art Museum revealed VHA’s design for a new three story addition. The Rothko Pavilion will be a transparent three-story structure linking the museum’s Main and Mark Buildings. Named for 20th century painter Mark Rothko, the pavilion will feature a rotating collection of the artists’ signature abstract canvases.
VHA has been selected by the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum, to design a major exhibition of 20th century decorative arts. The show will open in 2017.
