Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh
In 2001 VHA was selected to design a new Visitor Services Pavilion at the Carnegie Museum's Pittsburgh facilities. Following a detailed programming and research phase, VHA proposed a new 42,000 SF glass and stone pavilion creating a new, highly visible entrance for both the art and natural history museums, with new customer service amenities, a common lobby and enhanced museum shop spaces. Also included were second floor exhibition spaces, a third-level board room/meeting space, and group visitor support spaces located in a basement level.
