Front Grill Dining Room
Since 2000 VHA has provided master planning and architectural design services for the University Club of Chicago, which occupies an historic 1908 building by Holabird and Roche. The first major project to be completed was the Front Grill dining room and kitchen renovation on the club's seventh floor. Originally a billiard room, the dining room was re-planned as the club's premier casual dining space. The bar was removed from the dining area and redesigned in the adjacent corridor, and the existing kitchen was gutted and renovated to handle increased dining volume. New custom millwork, lighting, carpeting, furnishings and decorative paint schemes combine to create a distinctive dining experience.
