Montgomery Residence

This 4,000 SF apartment, located in a Chicago skyscraper originally completed in 1972 to the design of Minoru Yamasaki, features column-free curtain walls for uninterrupted views of the city. In this renovation, VHA created a refined setting for the owner's contemporary art collection that gracefully supports the activities of daily life. A limited material palette of Roman Travertine and plaster unifies the spaces. Floor-to-ceiling pocket doors of frosted glass separate back-of-the-house spaces. Custom millwork, including doors, jambs, cabinets and closets complete the design.
