For our 2008 summer field trip, we visited Springfield, Illinois. We toured our restoration work in the Capitol's legislative chambers, then climbed to the top of the dome and watched a thunderstorm roll in. We also visited the Dana-Thomas house (Frank Lloyd Wright, 1905) and enjoyed several cold beers on the ride home.
